Song for Africa – Oh Africa released on Sunday!
After you guys chose Lovelle as the UK ambassador on the Pepsi-back Akon single “Oh Africa”, the time has finally come!
On Sunday (31st January), the single will be released, and we all hope it gets to number one!

The song, featuring Akon and Keri Hilson (pictured with Lovelle, right) is giving proceeds from the sales to helping underprivileged African youth. Akon’s Konfidence Foundation, (Konfidence.org), will be one of the main charities set to receive a portion of the proceeds.

“While this isn’t actually my video, it reminds of being at the ULU in London, November 15th 2007. Being out of towners me and Cathy didn’t actually have student cards to get into the union before the gig, but threw caution to the wind and blagged our way in and upstairs to the sound check cos we really wanted to meet the band. In doing so we got past a lousy doorman, and a very angry looking blonde on the phone who I presume was some sort of band manager, and looked like she wanted to break our kneecaps for having got so close to the band! =P Anyways, we saw this unfolding, but didn’t dare to interrupt…so stayed in the stairwell watching until Irwin said “stop it, we’ve got a soundcheck to do!” and legged it outta there cos we thought he was yelling at us =/. Great gig though and a brilliant moment to witness! =D”Maxcast Team
